Munce 2025 Back to Basics Catalog

If you are sending the Munce 2025 Back to Basics Catalog, please download and process the data file that will prepare your inventory.

  1. Get the current Munce catalog files…
    • Version 8.11 (and earlier) –
      1. Download the Zipped catalog data files by clicking here.
      2. When the download completes, open the Zip file and extract/copy the files to your BOOK folder.
    • Version 9.00 –
      • You should receive the files as part of the automatic cloud update routine.
      • If you want to get them now, you can manually trigger the cloud update routine.
        1. Make sure all stations are out of BSMGR.
        2. At “Enter Program Name”, enter “SCHEDULE”.
        3. Click the “Check for Regular Updates Now” button.
        4. Make sure “BOOK-DIR” is checked. (All should be checked, but the BOOK portion of the update includes the Munce catalog files.)
        5. Click the “Start” button and wait for the routine to finish.
        6. All stations can now get back into BSMGR.
  2. In BSMGR, run “IVPROMO” at the “Enter Program Name” prompt.
  3. At the “Enter File Name” prompt, type the file name that matches the one you are sending out (see below), then click the OK button.
  4. If you enter a flexible date file name, you will be prompted for the start and end dates of the sale.
  5. Any products in the catalog and not in your inventory will open the IVM “Add” screen. Add the missing product(s) to your inventory. The catalog’s promo code, start date, end date, and sale price will be set for all the products in the catalog.
  6. NOTE: If IVPROMO doesn’t do anything, make sure you copied/extracted the files from the current MunceCatalog.zip file to your BOOK folder.

Current file names to choose from for the IVPROMO program…

  • M-AUG-R.TXT = Back to Basics Catalog
    (21-Jul-2025 thru 30-Aug-2025)
  • M-AUG-RF.TXT = Back to Basics Catalog (Flexible)
(Flexible dates – you set them when running IVPROMO)
  • M-JUN-R.TXT = Summer Catalog
    (2-Jun-2025 thru 19-Jul-2025)
  • M-JUN-RF.TXT = Summer Catalog (Flexible)
(Flexible dates – you set them when running IVPROMO)

If you have any problems downloading the file or getting the file to process from within IVPROMO, please let us know.

[Wake Up Wednesdays] IVO and Full PO Stock Checks

As you may have noticed, we’ve made a few changes to IVO to help streamline functionality. We also removed some closed Ingram warehouses from stock checks and the old “Fax” option (since computers haven’t included fax modems for several years). When making these changes, we inadvertently caused issues with Anchor electronic ordering. That fix has been pushed out to all stores as of last night.

Join Jon and Steven today for Wake Up Wednesday at 10 AM Central. Jon will discuss how to use the “Full PO Stock Check” feature, in conjunction with the settings in SYS | Config | #2075, to confirm a potential order will meet minimums for free freight.

Dayspring Q3-2025 Price Update

If you have BSM set up to use the price point reference file (as described here), you need to download the current reference file.

  • Version 8.11 (and earlier)
    1. Download the Zipped data files by clicking here.
    2. When the download completes, open the Zip file and extract/copy the files to your BOOK folder.
  • Version 9.00
    • You should have already received the current file via the automatic cloud update routine.
    • If you don’t have the newest Dayspring file, you can manually trigger the cloud update routine.
      1. MAKE SURE ALL STATIONS ARE OUT OF BSM.
      2. On one computer (preferably the server), start BSM. At Enter Program Name, enter “SCHEDULE”.
      3. Make sure all the boxes are checked so you get weekly updates.
      4. Click the “Check for Regular Updates Now” button.
      5. On the Update Progress screen, click the “Start” button and wait for the routine to finish.
      6. Once the routine is completed, all stations can get back into Bookstore Manager.
      7. IMPORTANT NOTE: If you get a File Error on the Dayspring file when you go into POS, that means you had at least one station left in POS when downloading the updated files. To fix this, get ALL stations out of BSM, then redo the steps with the addition of checking the “Force downloads” check box on the “Update Progress” screen (with the “Start” button).

Please let us know if you have any problems downloading or extracting the file.
