Munce 2023 Spring Catalog

FIRST, our apologies for sending this so late. We received the files from Munce on March 10th but didn’t send our normal email notice out. Stores on version 9 should already have the latest files. If you don’t have the latest files, please follow the appropriate steps below.

If you are sending the Munce 2023 Spring Catalog, please download and process the data file that will prepare your inventory.

  1. Get the current Munce catalog files…
    • Version 8.11 (and earlier) –
      1. Download the Zipped catalog data files by clicking here.
      2. When the download completes, open the Zip file and extract/copy the files to your BOOK folder.
    • Version 9.00 –
      • You should receive the files as part of the automatic cloud update routine.
      • If you want to get them now, you can manually trigger the cloud update routine.
        1. Make sure all stations are out of BSMGR.
        2. At “Enter Program Name”, enter “SCHEDULE”.
        3. Click the “Check for Regular Updates Now” button.
        4. Make sure “BOOK-DIR” is checked. (All should be checked, but the BOOK portion of the update includes the Munce catalog files.)
        5. Click the “Start” button and wait for the routine to finish.
        6. All stations can now get back into BSMGR.
  2. In BSMGR, run “IVPROMO” at the “Enter Program Name” prompt.
  3. At the “Enter File Name” prompt, type the file name that matches which one you are sending out (see below), then click the OK button.
  4. If you selected a flexible date file, you will be prompted for the start and end dates of the sale.
  5. Any products that are in the catalog and not in your inventory will open the IVM “Add” screen. Add the missing product(s) to your inventory. The catalog’s promo code, start date, end date, and sale price will be set for all the products in the catalog.
  6. NOTE: If IVPROMO doesn’t do anything, make sure you copied/extracted the files from the current MunceCatalog.zip file to your BOOK folder.

Daywind Soundtracks MSRP Increase for QBS

NOTE: If you are not using QBS to create burn-on-demand products for your customers, you can ignore this email message.

As you may have heard, the MSRP for Daywind Soundtracks is increasing from $8.98 to $9.98. This necessitates an increase of the MSRP in QBS for Daywind Soundtracks.

The MSRP for Daywind Soundtracks in QBS has been set to $9.88 to help you cover your material costs (blank CDs, jewel cases, liners, etc). The MSRP will be automatically increased to $10.98 to continue helping you cover your material costs related to these burn-on-demand items.

As always, you can further adjust the selling price (shown in IVDI and used by POS) by changing the value in the “Markup” column on the “Product Lines” screen (scroll down to product line 0000000038 for “Daywind Soundtracks”).

The MSRP increase is being implemented by the QBS program. This change was pushed out to all version 9 stores as part of their weekly update and sent as a critical update to stores on version 8.11.

If you have any questions, please let us know.
