Munce 2019 Countdown to Christmas Catalog

NOTE: If you are not sending the Munce 2019 Countdown to Christmas Catalog, you can ignore this message.

If you are sending the Munce 2019 Countdown to Christmas Catalog, please download and process the data file that will prepare your inventory.

  1. Download the Zipped catalog data files by clicking here.
  2. When the download completes, open the Zip file and extract/copy the files to your BOOK folder.
  3. In BSMGR, run “IVPROMO” at the Enter Program Name prompt.
  4. At the “Enter File Name” prompt, type the file name that matches which one you are sending out (see below), then click the OK button.
  5. If you selected a flexible date file, you will be prompted for the start and end dates of the sale.
  6. Any products that are in the catalog and not in your inventory will open the IVM “Add” screen. Add the missing product(s) to your inventory. The catalog’s promo code, start date, end date, and sale price will be set for all the products in the catalog.
  7. If IVPROMO doesn’t do anything, make sure you copied/extracted the files from the current MunceCatalog.zip file to your BOOK folder.

CORRECTION for the Munce 2019 2Day Flyer, Christmas Flyer, and Christmas Catalog Files

CORRECTIONS for the Munce holiday catalog files.

NOTE: If you are not sending the Munce 2019 2Day Flyer, Christmas Flyer or Christmas Sale Event Catalog, you can ignore this message.

It was reported that at least one sale price was incorrect and two of the file names could not be used (due to length) in IVPROMO. If you are sending any of the flyers below, please re-download the MunceCatalog.zip file using the same link below and follow the remainder of the instructions, making note of the current file names (M-2DAY-RF.TXT is now M-2DAY-F.TXT and M-CMAS-RF.TXT is now M-CMAS-F.TXT).

The sale price changes are in M-NOV-RN.TXT, M-NOV-RD.TXT, M-NOV-RF.TXT, M-NOV-CN.TXT, M-NOV-CD.TXT, and M-NOV-CF.TXT. If you already processed one of these files, simply download the updated Zip and re-run IVPROMO on the same file. BSMGR will automatically apply the corrected, lower sale price during the dates that the sale is active.

RMS Version 8.11D Program Changes on the 4th Quarter 2019 Update

The monthly update disc you receive from BSMGR for RMS contains a current copy of the Christian Books & More® database, new images, music samples, and program changes. Remember to run IVDC after installing your update to reflect retail prices changes for your store’s inventory items. When that program completes, you can use IVL to print labels with the new prices. For your convenience, the RMS program changes included with this update are listed below.

The price files for currently active Munce sales catalogs are included on this update.

If you are sending out one of these Munce catalogs to your customers, you can run “IVPROMO” in BSMGR and enter the appropriate file name.

Remember you can download the current Munce catalog price files by clicking the link below and extract the files into your BOOK folder. http://www.bookstoremanager.biz/content/MunceCatalog.zip

As a reminder, the program will check your inventory file for the following:

  • If you are missing products from the catalog, the program will prompt you to add them, pulling basic information (title, author, retail, etc.) from the Christian Books & More database.
  • Once missing products have been added to your inventory file, the program will set up the following for all the products in the catalog file:
    » Sale price; » Sale start date; » Sale end date; » Promo code.

Enhancements and Changes for 8.11

FTP:
• TWEAKED FTPS URL PARSE
• CHANGED FTPS FROM IMPLICIT TO EXPLICIT.

PAX:
• BEGAN WRITING THE PREVIOUS TRANSACTION FILE.

SCHEDULE:
• ADDED FTPS TO DEFAULT PARABLE URL.

TIMEPAGE:
• EMPLOYEE TIME FILE – NOW SHOWS MOST RECENT CLOCK IN/OUT AT THE TOP OF THE LIST INSTEAD OF AT THE BOTTOM.

VIEWSETP:
• NEW PROGRAM FOR VIEWING PAX SETTLEMENTS. THIS FILE WILL BE USED TO CHECK THE PAX UNIT TO SEE IF THE LAST ATTEMPTED TRANSACTION COMPLETED.

2019 CPE International Exhibit Hall Map

Wow! We are just a week away from the 2019 CPE International Show!

We always provide free training opportunities at the shows, and this one is no different. However, we did change the format a little.

Instead of a single big training session covering everything, we are going to split it into two shorter sessions.

If you are a new store owner or manager that hasn’t been trained on all the various features of BSMGR, we will spend an hour on a “Beginners Session” to answer questions and cover basics. This will also be a great opportunity for any new employee to get a basic understanding of how to use the software.

If you are a more seasoned user, we will have an “Advanced Session” where we will focus on a broader range of topics that you may have forgotten could be done for you in BSMGR.

Independence Day 2019 Special Support Hours
