Wondering what we’ve been up to? Here are some highlights of features added or enhanced since the last CPE show…
- Training Mode – When you enter training mode, the background color on the screens is changed to a bright yellow gradient to highlight the fact you are currently in training mode.
- Sales Tax Tracking by Jurisdiction – We now support up to 999 different tax rate locations. There is a corresponding report that gets saved to Excel which includes the name of the jurisdiction, sales amount, and how much tax was collected.
- Graphs added to SLT, SLE, and IVT.
- POS – On screen 10-key on the initial screen. Now you can use the touch screen to enter the phone number.
- POS – Sub-Total button color is now different to help highlight its location for new employees or volunteers who infrequently work POS.
- POS – Added discount groups for quick discounts
- ARM and POS – Some states have an expiration date for Tax Exemption IDs. You can now set the expiration date in ARM under the Tax ID. When a customer is charging to an account with a Tax ID, if the expiration is within the next month, it gives a warning with the expiration date. Once it expires, the warning changes to state that the Tax ID has expired and asks the frontline worker to get the new expiration date.
- EMP – PAX Settlement Failed Warning Override – Credit card transactions are finalized and money moves to your bank account once a batch closes. If your PAX credit card terminal is unable to close a previous day’s batch, POS shows a warning. A customer had a frontline worker who was clicking “OK” every day for weeks without informing anyone of the problem. This meant all the credit card transactions for that time weren’t being deposited in the store’s bank account. POS now requires a manager override of this warning after three days.
- QuickBooks Online – We’ve supported a direct connection to a locally installed copy of QuickBooks for many years. We now also support using QuickBooks online for A/P and G/L.
- Printed Invoices – Made improvements to how logos are handled on printed invoices. The logo image no longer has to be a specific size. It will set the height to 1 inch and set the width so it doesn’t stretch or squish the image’s appearance.
- IVO – When you are working on a purchase order, there is now a new “Receive PO” button so you can immediately receive the PO. Also, if you have vendor info in the “Misc./Required info” field, that is now shown below the product listing as a reminder. For example, if a vendor requires a minimum of $150 on an order, that text is shown here so you remember to add enough items to the purchase order.
- IVSS – Standing orders now have a “type” setting. This makes it easier for you to identify or limit orders based on the type (like Yearly, Quarterly, etc.).
- DAILY – Added PAX settlement to DAILY. The PAX units are configured to auto-close batches overnight. However, some retailers prefer to close the batches as part of their daily closeout procedure. You can now check “PAXOMNI (Settles Pax terminals)” for DAILY, and that will be included in the DAILY run.
Jon is going to cover these and more in his training starting at 8:00 AM on Sunday. Check the show booklet for the “Advanced Training” location. If you want to know more about any of these and aren’t able to see Jon’s presentation, please stop by Booth 307 so he can answer your questions.
We look forward to seeing you at CPE!
