The monthly update disc you receive from BSMGR for RMS contains a current copy of the Christian Books & More® database, new images, music samples, and program changes. Remember to run IVDC after installing your update to reflect retail prices changes for your store’s inventory items. When that program completes, you can use IVL to print labels with the new prices. For your convenience, the RMS program changes included with this update are listed below.
The price files for multiple Munce catalogs are included on this update.
- M-SPR-R.TXT = Regular Spring Sales Catalog (17-Apr-2017 thru 28-May-2017)
- M-SPR-C.TXT = Conservative Spring Sales Catalog 17-Apr-2017 thru 28-May-2017)
- M-SUM-R.TXT = Summer Sales Catalog (29-May-2017 thru 30-Jul-2017)
If you are sending out one of these Munce catalogs to your customers, you can run "IVPROMO" in BSMGR and enter the appropriate file name.
As a reminder, the program will check your inventory file for the following:
- If you are missing products from the catalog, the program will prompt you to add them, pulling basic information (title, author, retail, etc.) from the Christian Books & More database.
- Once missing products have been added to your inventory file, the program will set up the following for all the products in the catalog file:
» Sale price; » Sale start date; » Sale end date; » Promo code.
Enhancements and Changes for 8.10
- ARI:
- • UNPOSTED ENTRIES – WHEN VIEWING ARI, IF THE CUSTOMER HAS UNPOSTED ENTRIES (TYPICALLY THAT DAY’S A/R), A WINDOW WILL NOW POP UP SHOWING ALL UNPOSTED ENTRIES AND TOTALS THEM.
- HOST:
- • REMOTE BSMGR – NEW SETTINGS FOR A REMOTE STORE IN A MULTISTORE SETUP SO THAT IT IS EASIER TO LOAD REMOTE MANAGER FROM WITHIN BSMGR MENU.
- IVI:
- • MULTI-STORE REMOTE STORES – ADDING LINE “BSMGR-MULTI-RECORD Y” TO THE ENVIRONMENT FILE WILL GREATLY REDUCE THE TIME IT TAKES TO RUN IVT, IVWO, IVP, IVHT PROGRAMS WITHIN THE REMOTE STORE. THIS SIMPLIFIES AND ELIMINATES A LOT OF THE USAGE FOR REMOTE MANAGER.

- • TOTALS FOR ORDER – ADDED A LABEL SAYING “COST” ABOVE THE LIST BOX.
- • MULTI-STORE SETTING – ADDING THE SETTING “MULTI-AUTO-BREAKOUT Y” IN REMOTE STORES AUTOMATICALLY MAKES ANY ORDER MADE IN THAT REMOTE STORE GO TO THAT STORES DISTRIBUTION, ELIMINATING THE DISTRIBUTION BREAKOUT ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SCREEN.

- • NOTES WINDOW NOT LARGE ENOUGH – LINES IN THE WINDOW WERE NOT BASED ON RESOLUTION.
- POS:
- • CHANGED THE EMAIL FLAG WHEN A NEW CUSTOMER IS ADDED.
- • INDEX OUT OF BOUNDS COULD OCCUR WHEN RINGING UP AN ITEM PREVIOUSLY DELTED OUT OF INVENTORY WHEN CALLED FROM OEPOS.
- • SPLIT ADDRESS AND ZIP CODE LABEL INTO SEPARATE LABELS ON MANUAL CC SCREEN.
- POSIVM:
- • MULTI-STORE – WASN’T WRITING EXT01 STUFF.

- • ADDED PAY ON ACCT AND PAY ON LAYAWAY TO THE DEPT LIST BOX.
- SCHEDULE:
- • WAS TRYING TO REBUILD “EXT” INSTEAD OF “EXT01”.
- SLIV:
- • MULTIPLE RECORDS TO DAILY HISTORY FILE SHOULD HAVE BEEN COMBINING WHEN IVM SAID TO ONLY WRITE ONE RECORD.
- SLT:
- • SUPPRESS PRINT OUT – IF DEPTS 49-96 ARE ALL ZERO, THE SECOND PAGE IS SKIPPED.
- SYS:
- • REMOTE BSMGR – NEW SETTINGS FOR MULTI STORES TO MAKE IT EASIER TO LOAD REMOTE MGR FROM WITHIN BSMGR. NEW SETTINGS ARE IN MISC. CONFIGURATIONS #7026 AND #7027.
