Program Changes on Q3 2020 Update

The quarterly update disc you receive from BSMGR for RMS contains a current copy of the Christian Books & More® database, new images, music samples, and program changes. Remember to run IVDC after installing your update to reflect retail price changes for your store’s inventory items. When that program completes, you can use IVL to print labels with the new prices. For your convenience, the RMS program changes included with this update are listed below.

The price files for currently active Munce sales catalogs are included on this update.

If you are sending out one of these Munce catalogs to your customers, you can run “IVPROMO” in BSMGR and enter the appropriate file name.

Remember you can download the current Munce catalog price files by clicking the link below and extract the files into your BOOK folder. http://www.bookstoremanager.biz/content/MunceCatalog.zip

As a reminder, the program will check your inventory file for the following:

  • If you are missing products from the catalog, the program will prompt you to add them, pulling basic information (title, author, retail, etc.) from the Christian Books & More database.
  • Once missing products have been added to your inventory file, the program will set up the following for all the products in the catalog file:
    » Sale price; » Sale start date; » Sale end date; » Promo code.

Enhancements and Changes for 8.11

INITOKEN• NEW PROGRAM – HANDLES THE OAUTH TOKEN WITH GOOGLE SERVICES (GMAIL). GETS CALLED BY SYS (INITIAL SETUP/LINK FROM BSMGR TO GOOGLE) AND BSMEMAIL.

Independence Day 2020 Support Hours

Our office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd in honor of Independence Day. Munce 2020 Summer Sale Catalog Files

If you are sending the Munce 2020 Summer Sale Catalog, please download and process the data file that will prepare your inventory.

  1. Download the Zipped catalog data files by clicking here.
  2. When the download completes, open the Zip file and extract/copy the files to your BOOK folder.
  3. In BSMGR, run “IVPROMO” at the Enter Program Name prompt.
  4. At the “Enter File Name” prompt, type the file name that matches which one you are sending out (see below), then click the OK button.
  5. If you selected a flexible date file, you will be prompted for the start and end dates of the sale.
  6. Any products that are in the catalog and not in your inventory will open the IVM “Add” screen. Add the missing product(s) to your inventory. The catalog’s promo code, start date, end date, and sale price will be set for all the products in the catalog.
  7. If IVPROMO doesn’t do anything, make sure you copied/extracted the files from the current MunceCatalog.zip file to your BOOK folder.

GETHOURS• DISPLAY OF HOURS WORKED WHEN CLOCKING IN OR OUT ON THE LAST DAY OF THE PAYROLL, THE HOURS FROM THAT WERE NOT SHOWING ON THE CLOCK IN/OUT SCREEN.
IVOP• RESTORED EXCEL AS AN EXPORT OPTION.
PARABLE• FULL MAILIST FROM MENU WAS NOT UPLOADING.
QSCAN• ADDED OPTION TO ALLOW SKUS WITH DASHES.
TV• NEW VERSION OF TEAMVIEWER – TEAMVIEWER DISCONTINUED SUPPORT FOR THE VERSION WE HAVE BEEN USING. THE PROGRAM WILL CHECK THE SERVER TO SEE IF THE NEW VERSION IS THERE. IF NOT, IT WILL FIRST DOWNLOAD THE NEW VERSION TO THE SERVER, THEN IT WILL COPY IT TO THE LOCAL DRIVE BEFORE RUNNING.

DELTEMP• ADDED CALL TO DELTEMP.BAT. THIS BATCH FILE DELETES FILES IN THE WINDOWS TEMP FOLDER AS WELL AS %TEMP%.

IVO• DIFFERENT “BILL TO” NOT WORKING.
• FULL PO STOCK CHECKS NOT ALL WORKING. RE-COMPILED AND THEY STARTED WORKING AGAIN. NEED TO SEND OUT ON NEXT UPDATE.

IVPROMO• UPDATED MESSAGE FOR EMPTY FILE. IF THE MUNCE CATALOG FILE IS MISSING OR EMPTY, THE MESSAGE NOW DIRECTS THE USER TO CHECK HTTP://EMAILS.BSMGR.COM FOR INFORMATION ON DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING THE LATEST SET OF CATALOG FILES FROM MUNCE.

PARABLE• FULL LIST UPLOAD ADDED TO CORRECTION PROCESS. AT THE END OF THE CORRECTION PROCESS THE PROGRAM GENERATES A FULL MAILING LIST EXPORT AND UPLOADS IT TO PARABLE.

PAXRPT• NEW PROGRAM FOR PULLING INFO OFF A PAX UNIT. REQUIRES PLreport.exe.

POS• TOUCH POS WOULDN’T ALLOW THE VOIDING OF A GIFT CARD.
• CAN NOW REVIEW/APPLY PREVIOUS CARD IN PAX. THIS CAN BE USED IF THERE WAS AN ERROR AFTER PROCESSING WAS PASSED TO THE PAX UNIT. IT ALLOWS THE USER TO SEE IF THE CARD WAS APPROVED ON THE PAX UNIT AND APPLY IT TO THE CURRENT SALE IF IT WAS.

QSCAN• REMOVED DASH FROM LIST OF LEGIT CHARS. DASH IS NOT ALLOWED IN XML AND WILL THROW AN ERROR ON THE SCAN DEVICE.

SCHEDULE• ADDED TIME STAMPS FOR RACCOON.

SLCCP• CAN NOW PULL CURRENT AND PREVIOUS BATCH INFO FROM PAX UNIT.
