We just received corrected catalog files from Munce for their Back to Basics catalog. The Zip file from the link in this morning’s June Update email has been updated with the corrected information. If you downloaded the Zip file before 9:05 a.m. (Central) on 5-Jun-2018, you will need to re-download the Zip file using either the link from the earlier email or you can click here.

The monthly update disc you receive from BSMGR for RMS contains a current copy of the Christian Books & More® database, new images, music samples, and program changes. Remember to run IVDC after installing your update to reflect retail prices changes for your store’s inventory items. When that program completes, you can use IVL to print labels with the new prices. For your convenience, the RMS program changes included with this update are listed below.

• “DID THE TAPE PRINT CORRECTLY” MESSAGE NOW TIMES OUT IN 90 SECONDS. USERS WOULD SOMETIME WALK OFF AND LEAVE THE MESSAGE AT THE END OF THE DAY. IF THE SYSTEM REBOOTED, TOTALS WERE NEVER WRITTEN TO SLE OR CLEARED.

Munce 2018 Summer Sale Catalog File

NOTE: If you are not sending the Munce 2018 Summer Sale Catalog, you can ignore this message.

The team at Munce has completed design work on the 2018 Summer Sale Catalog. Unfortunately, the final list of products for the catalog wasn’t ready in time to be included on our April update. We now have the information, and it is ready for you to download and use.

If you plan on sending the Munce 2018 Summer Sale Catalog, please download and process the data file that will prepare your inventory.

  1. Download the Zipped catalog file by clicking here.
  2. When the download completes, open the Zip file and extract/copy the files to your BOOK folder.
  3. In BSMGR, run “IVPROMO” at the Enter Program Name prompt.
  4. At the “Enter File Name” prompt, type in either M-JUN-R.TXT (preset sale dates) or M-JUN-RF.TXT (flexible sale dates set by you), then click the OK button.
  5. If you selected the flexible option (M-JUN-RF.TXT), you will be prompted for the start and end dates of the sale.
  6. Any products that are in the catalog and not in your inventory will open the IVM “Add” screen. Add the missing product(s) to your inventory. The catalog’s promo code, start date, end date, and sale price will be set for all the products in the catalog.

Munce 2018 Spring Sale Catalog Flyer/Insert

NOTE: If you did not send the Munce 2018 Spring Sale Catalog, you can ignore this message.

The files for the 2018 Spring Sale Catalog did not include the products in the flyer/insert.

If you sent out the catalog but have not run IVPROMO to automatically update BSMGR with the promo code, dates, and sale price, you should go ahead and do that.

In order to update the items in the flyer/insert, you will need to process a new “M-MAY-F.TXT” (F for flyer/insert — not for Full) after downloading the current Munce files. The flyer/insert is the same for both the Regular and Conservative catalogs, so there is only one flyer/insert file.

  1. Download the Zipped catalog file by clicking here.
  2. Extract the files from the Zip you just downloaded into your BOOK folder.
  3. In BSMGR, run “IVPROMO” at the Enter Program Name prompt.
  4. At the “Enter File Name” prompt, type in M-MAY-F.TXT, then click the OK button.
  5. Any products that are in the flyer/insert and not in your inventory will open the IVM “Add” screen. Add the missing product(s) to your inventory. The catalog’s promo code, start date, end date, and sale price will be set for all the products in the flyer/insert.

Please note that the M-MAY-R.TXT and M-MAY-C.TXT in the Zip file are the same as was sent out on the March update. If you haven’t already run IVPROMO with the appropriate catalog file, you will still need to run IVPROMO for M-MAY-R.TXT or M-MAY-C.TXT as well as the new M-MAY-F.TXT file.

Also, it doesn’t matter which order you process the files. You can process the M-MAY-F.TXT file first or last.
