RMS Version 8.00S Program Changes on the November 2015 Update
The monthly update disc you receive from BSMGR for RMS contains a current copy of the Christian Books & More® database, new images, music samples and program changes. Remember to run IVDC after installing your update to reflect retail prices changes for your store’s inventory items. When that program completes, you can use IVL to print labels with the new prices.
As a reminder, each month’s update disc also includes a folder titled “Manual” that contains the current RMS manual. The file is in Microsoft Word format, and there is a free Word viewer program in the folder in case you don’t have a copy of Microsoft Word installed on your computer. For your convenience, the RMS program changes on this update are listed below.
- AREM:
- EMAILED INVOICES – SOME ISBN NUMBERS WERE NOT PRINTING. THEY WERE SHOWING DEPT NUMBERS INSTEAD.
- ARM:
- EMAIL VALIDATION – NOW CHECKS FOR COMMON TYPOS IN EMAILS FOR ALL THE ADDRESSES YOU CAN ADD. ALSO ALLOWS FOR NEW, LONGER ROOT DOMAINS SUCH AS “.CHURCH”.
- BSMCRCD:
- ADDED DATE/TIME STAMP TO RECEIPT.
- IVDI:
- ADDED NEW BIBLE TRANSLATION (TREE OF LIFE VERSION).
- IVDI3:
- ADDED NEW BIBLE TRANSLATION (TREE OF LIFE VERSION).
- IVDIPG2:
- ADDED NEW BIBLE TRANSLATION (TREE OF LIFE VERSION).
- IVL:
- ADDED SUPPORT FOR NEW PRTLABEL PROGRAM.
- IVN:
- • LINKAGE ERROR CALLING FROM MENU.
- • CANCELLING ALLOCATING SPL ORDER – IF YOU CREATE A SO FOR AN ITEM AND THEN CLICK THE LOOKUP OPTION TO ALLOCATE OUT, IT PUTS THE ITEM # YOU ARE ORDERING IN THE PO FIELD AND DOESN’T ALLOW IT, BECAUSE IT THINKS IT IS ALREADY ALLOCATED TO A PO.
- IVO:
- CHANGED WORDING ON COMBINE 2 PO#S. ALSO, IF THE NEW PO DOESN’T EXIST, BSM WILL BY OPTION CREATE IT.
- IVSI:
- PAID AND DEPOSITS NOW SHOW UP ON MAIN SCREEN.
- MLM2:
- EMAIL VALIDATION – CHECKS FOR COMMON TYPOS IN EMAILS AND ALSO ALLOWS FOR NEW, LONGER ROOT DOMAINS SUCH AS “.CHURCH”.
- PRTLABEL:
- NEW PROGRAM FOR PRINTING INVENTORY LABELS USING ULINE REMOVABLE LABELS 30 LABELS PER SHEET: S-8080; 50 LABELS PER SHEET: S-18453. WHEN USING THESE, YOU NEED TO CHANGE SYS | CONFIG | #2070 TO “PRTLABEL” (WITHOUT THE QUOTES)
- SYS:
- MISC CONFIG | #7047 – AFTER ADDING NEW FEATURE (#2075), YOU COULDN’T ACCESS #7047.
